At present, in order to increase the burning rate of propellants, ultrafine ammonium perchlorate has been widely used in propellants.

But as the particle size becomes smaller and the specific surface area increases, the ultrafine AP powder has strong hygroscopicity and is easy to agglomerate into lumps, which seriously affects its use effect in propellants. Using nitrocellulose (NC) to coat AP, the hygroscopicity of modified superfine AP decreases, which effectively solves the agglomeration of superfine AP. Using composite modifiers to modify the ultrafine AP, the modifier has a good anti-caking effect and has industrial application prospects.
